About Caresult

Caresult is founded in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. We noticed that a lot of high/medtech customers stalled or cancelled their larger investments in these uncertain times. At the same time they have already an Installed Base of equipment solutions that needed suddenly additional and longer care. Some companies are well set up to address these needs, others need help.

Caresult focuses on supporting companies to grow their business. Especially companies who see the opportunity - just like Caresult - to (further) professionalize their Aftersales & Service activities can benefit from our support. Services can be leveraged internationally, headquartered from the Netherlands.

Caresult offers Business Consultancy, Interim Management and Business Coaching services to ensure sustainability in your success!

Caresult focuses on mid-size companies that aim to:

  • Globalize, standardize and streamline customer experiences where it concerns their Aftersales & Services.
  • Develop their Aftersales & Services business to become a more sustainable and profitable part of the company - away from a cost center approach and towards a value-based offering
  • Change their feature-focused selling methods to a solution-selling strategy.

SKILLS & TALENTS – Peter van Altena (Caresultant)

GENERAL

  • The red thread through my career has always been: development. The path from registered nurse to international business executive was only possible through continuous seeking for possible improvements: from helping patients to improve their health, to guiding my peers & employees to improve our businesses and with that ultimately improving myself in competences, skills and by gaining experiences. Having had the opportunity to go through different stages of maturity along the process – and to maintain curiosity – made me integer, resilient, and adaptive to new situations.

MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Early on in my career I have developed management skills that helped me grow businesses to a next level. Understanding that the core of successful business ventures always is the ability to add value for the customer in that what you offer and at the same time understand that this principle also works for employees in everything they do, is something I am passionate about. The achievement of targets – sometimes without explanation on ‘how to get there’ – made my management style resourceful and team oriented

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

  • “Nothing is more constant than change” Many of the responsibilities I held had change attached and/or included into it. Ensuring that today will be a better day than yesterday entails the need for change. Driving a feature/product focused sales method into a solution selling approach has been one of the major and most impactful changes I was able to drive. At the end of the day customers do not want to buy a product, customers want the result of that product and the value it gives them. This example also helped me understand that change just for the sake of it is most of the time useless and a waste of resources - a change needs a clear target that is focused, clear and easy communicate.

LEADERSHIP & TEAMS

  • My leadership style is best described as ‘Situational’. This is supported by my believe that one will only offer their best when provided with the opportunity to do so. Sometimes it means to lead ‘from a distance’ with a lot of empowerment, sometimes it requires coaching and there have been times that clear guidance was needed to get results. There will also be instances where team members are just not willing to play their role, thus tending me to be to be open, constructive and direct in my approach to find a solution that is better for all involved. Determining who and what needs what kind of leadership doesn’t only depend on the situation, but also on my own ability to make an appropriate assessment of those needs. This is where I rely on my early career experiences, where working in stressful situations on the ICU have determined my operating system, provided me with the skills needed for teamwork and a swift understanding on how ‘people tick’.

COMMUNICATION EXTERNALLY

  • Having been part of industrial associations like "Het Instrument" en de "ISLA International Service Logistics Association", I had the opportunity to also being active outside my employee responsibilities and to contribute to their successes. My skills-set gained additions like organizing, executive presenting, international networking and being an advocate for those associations.
